Tile Box with Star of David Lid

Don Drumm is known for bringing the well-received, mid-century brutalist style into people’s homes and lives with everyday objects for decades. This pewter box is designed and hand-crafted by Don. You'll find Don's signature on the underside of each lid. Additionally, each of these boxes comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" that Don personally signed.

This box is from the Judaica collection Don designed. The lid for this collection has a Star of David that is designed in such a way that it appears as if it were hewn from stone.

One specific design element you’ll find in each box is the interior base tile. In this pewter box, the interior, central, base consists of an abstract pattern with wavy lines that have short, perpendicular lines on top of them. Periodically throughout the design are circles. On the first exterior side of this box is another Star of David. It is designed from multiple thin lines and has circular dots interspersed throughout this design. For the second side, there is a background design of lines placed on the horizontal and then a thick circle is superimposed on top of the background. For the third side, there is a representation of the Ten Statements. For the final side of this box, there is an abstract design with vertical, shallow grooves with a thin circle superimposed on top of this background.
