Tile Box with Celtic Knot Lid

Don Drumm is known for bringing the well-received, mid-century brutalist style into people’s homes and lives with everyday objects for decades. This pewter box is designed and hand-crafted by Don. You'll find Don's signature on the underside of each lid. Additionally, each of these boxes comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" that Don personally signed.

This box is from the Celtic collection Don designed. The lid for this collection has an interlocking Celtic knot pattern in the center. Surrounding this knot, there is a thin circular border.

One specific design element you’ll find in each box is the interior base tile. In this pewter box, the interior, central, base consists of raised lines interspersed three times with a small dot surrounded by a circle. For the first exterior side, you will find organically placed lines and grooves. Embedded within these grooves, you’ll see circles, stars, and floral patterns. Following this side, the next design is again an abstract; some elongated rectangles have an organic bent to them. On the left side of this design is an oval that one could imagine to be the cause of the distortion in the other parts of the design. For the third side, there is a stylized flower with squared-off petals and differently sized and arranged circles to represent the central seed pattern. Lastly, the final side is a traditional Don Drumm sun design.
