Tile Box with Celtic Knot Lid

 Don Drumm is known for bringing the well-received, mid-century brutalist style into people’s homes and lives with everyday objects for decades. This pewter box is designed and hand-crafted by Don. You'll find Don's signature on the underside of each lid. Additionally, each of these boxes comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" that Don personally signed.

This box is from the Celtic collection Don designed. The lid for this collection has an interlocking Celtic knot pattern in the center. Surrounding this knot, there is a thin circular border.

One specific design element you’ll find in each box is the interior base tile. In this pewter box, the interior, central, base consists of a design with a half circle facing organically placed thin lines. The first side you can encounter consists of a variety of globules that add to the tactile experience of this box. For the second side, again with a tactile approach are a series of ten small snail shells formed in pewter. On the third side, there are zig-zag lines that bring up memories of bric-a-brac, which many fabric items use for decorative purposes. The final side is of a scarab design.
