Singerman & Post "Tapestry" Oblong Pendant

An abstract, rounded pendant that has three beads (thin gold colored disk, lavender bead, and iridescent blue tube bead) hanging from it. A design element of this piece is that it is framed with a silver-toned backing. The height of this pendant is a little over 1 and a half inches, and its width is 7/8ths of an inch. Looking at this piece, you’ll find a rich purple background with pink diamond shaped vertical rows. On the left side of the piece is a column of dainty, green, interlocking designs.

Who would have thought that riding a New York City subway in the 1980’s would develop into a creative, innovative, line of jewelry?  But this is how Singerman & Post began their jewelry line.

These pieces are first and foremost – light weight. You won’t feel like you are wearing jewelry at all! Another interesting feature about Singerman & Post, is that this is a thriving, multi-generational family business.

The first step is the creation of original artwork. Once the new design has been created, the next step involves laminating the piece by hand. These pieces of jewelry are fashioned from metalized layers of mylar and vinyl. A final lamination adds a waterproof finish.

All adornments are Czech glass beads and the necklaces and earring wires are all sterling silver.
