Tile Box with Abstract Discs Lid

Don Drumm is known for bringing the well received, mid-century brutalist style into people’s homes and lives with everyday objects for decades. This pewter box is designed and hand crafted by Don. You'll find Don's signature on the underside of each lid. Additionally, each of these boxes comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" that Don personally signed.

This box is from the abstract collection Don designed. The lid for this collection has a distinctive design of four roundels - each with a different abstract pattern of wavy lines and concentric circles.

One specific design element you’ll find in each box is the interior base tile. In this pewter box, the interior, central, base there is a design with three sea shells. For the exterior sides, the first one has the phrase, “Earth and Heaven are in us.” The next side consists of this phrase, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Next to this text, is a design of a small turtle. The third side has the wording, “Come out of the circle of time and into the circle of love.” Last, but not least, is “Every step of the journey is the journey.” And this last tiles has the moon with it.
