Tile Box with Cross Lid

Don Drumm is known for bringing the well-received, mid-century brutalist style into people’s homes and lives with everyday objects for decades. This pewter box is designed and hand-crafted by Don. You'll find Don's signature on the underside of each lid. Additionally, each of these boxes comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" that Don personally signed.

This box is from the Christian collection Don designed. The lid for this collection has a symbol that represents “Jesus Christ Conquers.” Across the top of the Greek Cross is the Greek abbreviation for Jesus Christ and across the base is the word “Nika” that translates to “conquers.”

One specific design element you’ll find in each box is the interior base tile. In this pewter box, the interior, central, base consists of an abstract design of raised wavy lines that congregate towards the center. The first exterior side of this pewter box depicts the scene where Jesus is carrying his own cross. This symbolizes Jesus’ sacrifice for humanity. Following this, on the second side, there are four angels with wings. On the third side, the image is of Jesus with loaves and fishes. The final side depicts Jesus riding a donkey into Jerusalem.
