Tile Box with Sun Lid

Don Drumm is known for bringing the well received, mid-century brutalist style into people’s homes and lives with everyday objects for decades. This pewter box is designed and hand crafted by Don. You'll find Don's signature on the underside of each lid. Additionally, each of these boxes comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" that Don personally signed.

This box is from the Sun face collection Don designed. Boxes in this collection have the signature Don Drumm sun face with expressive eyes, distinctive nose, and a gentle smile.

One specific design element you’ll find in each box is the interior base tile. In this pewter box, the interior, central, base consists of a mixture of geometric shapes. On the far left is a series of rectangles, followed by an oval. On the far right of this tile, is a design of circles. From the first exterior tile, you will see a fancifully designed insect sitting atop a leaf. The next tile has the design of a Celtic knot. This tile is followed up with the design of a cold-blooded creature crawling up the side of the box. And lastly, the box has an abstract design as its final side.
