Tile Box with Celtic Knot Lid

 Don Drumm is known for bringing the well-received, mid-century brutalist style into people’s homes and lives with everyday objects for decades. This pewter box is designed and hand-crafted by Don. You'll find Don's signature on the underside of each lid. Additionally, each of these boxes comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" that Don personally signed.

This box is from the Celtic collection Don designed. The lid for this collection has an interlocking Celtic knot pattern in the center. Surrounding this knot, there is a thin circular border.

One specific design element you’ll find in each box is the interior base tile. In this pewter box, the interior, central, base consists of a design of textured, geometric shapes. For the first exterior side, the design has deeply grooved wavy lines that seem to disappear into a half circle. The texture on this side captures the light in a way that one can see the texture of an ice cube. Following this side, is a design that is abstract with intricate lines and shapes. On the third side, there are deeply grooved wavy patterns. The deeper parts catch the shadows and help make this design more intense. On the last side is a design crafted of half circles that give off a mid-century vibe.
